I read it myself
A person reads every application. I usually get back to you within a few working days, including when the answer is no.
I add you in Gumroad
Once approved, I add your e-mail address to the program. Gumroad then sends you your own affiliate link. That is why you need a Gumroad account.
You promote and earn
Every sale Gumroad attributes to your link pays you a 5% commission. Payouts go through Gumroad, on its own schedule.

- Label anything carrying your link as commercial content or a paid partnership, as the law and the platform require.
- Describe FLEDIT as it actually is. Every feature and every license tier is listed on the features page.
- Use real clips and screenshots to show FLEDIT's features.
- Ask when you are not sure. support@fledit.com answers affiliates too.
Please do not
- Do not promise features FLEDIT does not have, or results that cannot be verified.
- Do not use misleading marketing practices, and do not break the rules of the platforms you publish on.
- Do not infringe copyright or personal rights, and follow the rules on using FLEDIT trademarks.
- Do not encourage anyone to bypass Gumroad's fees by moving a sale off the platform.

The questions I get most
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. Taking part is free - no joining fee, no subscription.
Do I need a Gumroad account?
Yes. The whole program runs on Gumroad: I add you to it by e-mail address, and Gumroad generates your affiliate link, tracks the sales and handles the payouts. Use the same address your Gumroad account is on when you apply.
How is the commission calculated?
The commission is 5% of the net retail price of the product, that is excluding indirect taxes. Gumroad calculates it from its own sales reports.
When do I get paid?
Payouts run through Gumroad, on its own schedule and with its own payout methods, once you pass its minimum payout threshold. A commission becomes payable only for sales that were not cancelled, refunded or charged back.
What happens if a customer asks for a refund?
The commission for that sale is reversed or corrected in line with Gumroad's rules. This covers refunds, withdrawals from the contract and chargebacks.
Do I earn anything on the free version?
No - the Free tier costs nothing, so there is nothing to take a percentage of. It is still the best way in: people get to know the plugin and decide on Standard or Pro themselves, and that sale is yours.
Do I need a big audience?
There is no hard subscriber threshold. I look at whether your audience actually edits video and whether your plan makes sense. A small, well-matched channel sells better than a large, random one.
How long does the review take?
Usually a few working days. I reply to every application, including the ones I turn down. The Organizer may refuse an application without giving a reason.
Can I promote FLEDIT with paid ads?
The terms do not forbid it, but write to support@fledit.com before you start so we can agree on the ground rules. The ban on misleading claims and the rules on using FLEDIT trademarks always apply.
Is the 5% rate fixed?
The rate is set in the product panel in Gumroad and can be changed for the important reasons listed in section 10 of the program terms. Any change is published in an updated version of the terms on this site.
How do I leave the program?
Any time: remove your affiliate links, drop the affiliate role in Gumroad and let me know by e-mail. Leaving does not take away commissions correctly earned on earlier sales.
